Hari ini Hari Tanpa Tembakau Sedunia...which referrs to Hari Tanpa Merokok...it's well known, rokok is not good for health. Teringat kat abah, yang dahulunya a heavy smoker. But still, masih ada segelintir lagi manusia yang tak faham baca notice board kot, even tough ada poster besar "Kawasan Larangan Merokok" kat situ, diorang still merokok. Tak sopan langsung.
Back to abah, sekarang abah tak merokok tembakau lagi since he had a minor heart attack on 2005. Atas nasihat doktor, he has to quit smoking, tapi, memang susah lah dia nak stop di tambah dengan not-so-condusive environment. Mana tak nya, sedara mara ramai yang datang rumah lepas abah keluar hospital, dan diorang ni semua still merokok depan abah. Jadi, agak payah abah nak buang tabiat tu mula-mulanya. Only after a few ulang-alik to hospital, baru lah abah stop smoking and makan kacang. But, lately, agaknya, gian tu datang balik, he start smoking again, but not tembakau, only rokok daun without tembakau. Hmm, yang tu camana yekk....confuse...??

Simple Productivity - 10 Ways to Do More by Focusing on the Essentials
These days our lives are busier than ever. We work more than ever. We are more stressed and exhausted than ever before. And yet we get less done and are not as happy.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
The problem is that we are overloaded with information and tasks, and we try to get everything done instead of just the most essential things.
Solution: focus on only the essential, eliminate the rest, and allow yourself to get into that beautiful state known as “flow”.
Here are 10 simple ways to be more productive with less effort:
1. Clear your head. Take an hour, or half a day if possible, to shut off the information flow, and to get a larger view of your life and your job. Another good way to clear your head, which is necessary for focus, is to write down everything that you need to do, all your tasks and projects and ideas.
2. Focus on the essential tasks. Once you’ve gotten your head cleared, you need to figure out what tasks are most essential. Figure out the project that will get you the most recognition, win you awards, or get you the most business. Not something you’ll forget about in a week, but something that others will remember you by. This is an essential task. Make a list of these types of tasks — they’re your most important things to do this week.
3. Eliminate the rest. Now look at your overall list. What’s on there that’s not essential? Can you just drop them from your schedule? Or delegate them to someone else? If not, put them on a “waiting list”. Then, as you focus on your essential tasks, check back on this waiting list every now and then. Sometimes you’ll realize that the less essential tasks weren’t really necessary at all.
4. Do essential tasks first. If you’ve got a list of things to do today, and one or two of them are truly essential, do those items first thing in the morning. Don’t wait until later in the day, because they’ll get pushed back as other urgent stuff comes up. Get them out of the way, and your productivity will truly soar.
5. Eliminate distractions. You can put essential stuff on your list all year long, but if you are constantly interrupted by email notifications, IM, cell phones, your RSS reader, gadgets and widgets, social media, forums and the like, you’ll never be productive. Turn these things off, disconnect yourself from the Internet if possible, clear your desk of all papers, clear your walls and surrounding areas, and allow yourself to truly focus.
6. Use simple tools. Find a simple notebook for writing things down, a simple to-do list (no frills) and the simplest application possible for doing your work. Then forget about the tools and think only of the task at hand. If you’re too worried about the tools, you’re not actually doing anything.
7. Do one thing at a time. Multi-tasking is a waste of time. You can’t get things done with a million things going on at once, pulling for your attention. Focus on the essential task in front of you, to the exclusion of all else, and you are much more likely to get it completed, in less time, with less effort.
8. Find quiet. In addition to a quiet working environment, you need time every day that you can call your own, where you don’t have to do work. This could be through reading, taking a bath, walking in nature, going swimming at the beach, going jogging, meditating. Not reading your feeds. Get away from the information overload and find that peace that will allow you to truly focus when you do work, and to review your day in your mind, and to get the perspective to see what is essential.
9. Make the most of your work. It’s one thing to write something great, or to create something fantastic. But it’s entirely another thing to make that great thing explode, to get you attention, to earn the recognition you deserve — which will lead to more business or more opportunities. Once you’ve created the Next Great Thing, promote it, show it to others, find a way to have it carry you as far as it can take you. Don’t just create something and move on to the next thing. Use your energy and talents to their fullest extent.
10. Simplify some more. Once you’ve simplified down to the essential, and eliminated distractions, you should become productive. But distractions and the unnecessary have a way of creeping back in and accumulating. Every now and then, take a look at what you’re doing, at the information coming into your life, at how you spend your time and the tools you use. Then simplify some more.

Balik kampung
Monday morning.....28th May 2007.
So ngantuk....yawn.....hujan lebat kat luar KLCC. On the way to office tadi, masih renyai-renyai lagi. Godaan betul, :) Hari ni, ramai yang cuti agaknya, disebabkan School Holiday yang baru mula ni, jalan tak jem sangat, dari rumah tadi jam 7 pagi, sampai office kol 7.30. Office mate pun tegur.."Awainya hari ni..". Hehehe...selalunya tak kul 8, kul 9 baru sampai ofis.
Last week, balik ke Pasir Gudang. Hari Jumaat dah ambil cuti. So, kami bertolak Jumaat pagi, around 5 am. Kami balik berlima, abang, Rina, Riza and my sister Sinah. We all arrived at Pasir Gudang at 10 am. Kebiasaannya, aktiviti balik kampung is menziarah rumah sedara mara and pergi makan kenduri. Petang tu, we all went to Pantai Pasir Layar, next to Port Tanjung Langsat. Abang nak tengok kampung, which can be seen from afar from the Pantai Pasir Layar tu. Kalau diikutkan, the nearest place to kampung (which is Tanjung Sirat..correct me if i'm wrong abang, :)..Tanjung Sirat is actually a small island near to Singapore) is at Kong Kong. From Tanjung Langsat pon boleh nampak juga....
So, at Pantai Pasir Layar tu, kami just lepak2 sambil menikmati udara tepi pantai...kawasan pantai tu agak sibuk juga, dengan ada kapal besar berlabuh, dengan kapal terbang flying over to/from Lapangan Terbang Changi, Singapore (in every 2 minute, 1 kapal terbang akan mendarat/berlepas)....pengunjung ke pantai tu, tak lah ramai, just a few people...tapi yang banyaknya monyet!.jpg)

Nampak tak kapal terbang n kapal besar in the background (above and at sea level) ?
Me, mum, Rina and Sinah...

Malam tu, me and abang went to Nik Suhaila's house at Vista Seri Alam, about 15 minutes from mum's house. Kami just nak tengok anak dia sebab she just gave birth to a boy name Aqif. Masa kami pergi rumah dia tu, Aqif sedang tidur and ada seorang chinese guy ni tengah check measurement untuk cabinet dapur rumah Nik. Emm, rumah Nik mmg stylish...even dia tak plan nak stay lama at Johor (she also has a house at SS2, PJ), dia still beli barang2 utk her new house kat Seri Alam tu. Boleh tahan lengkap juga, dengan perabot, n new kitchen cabinet. Nik..nik...memang dia cam tuh, actually, quite long juga that we haven't meet.
On Saturday, our activities is pergi kenduri rumah Raja Mohamad (2nd/3rd cousin of mum...not really sure) at Gelang Patah. Memang best makan, nasi minyak and many type of kuih muih. On the way back, singgah rumah Tok Busu at Lima Kedai (so weird the name), makan lagi. Then, around 6, we off back to Pasir Gudang. Stuck in traffic jem (at Permas Jaya) for about an hour...tiba2 rasa mcm tensen sangat dgn traffic jem tuh..macam tak biasa je..sedangkan dok kat KL, ehehehe. Malam tu, ingatkan nak pergi makan seafood yang terkenal at Senibong...tapi, disebabkan semuanya keletihan and masih kekenyangan, idea tu di'cancel'kan di saat-saat akhir.
Sunday, not much activities. We just stay at home and abang went to the Mechanics to check the car. At noon, we travel back to KL. On the way to KL, we stop by at Yong Peng, at Pak Long Imran's house. Sinah has an interview at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn on Tuesday, so, we drop her at Pak Long's house. Then, straight to Damansara Damai.....

Segannya lah hai..
Hi....I've just come down from my collegue office at another level in Petronas Twin Tower. Actually, I nak print this document about 800 pages for a meeting next week. Meeting is between my collegue department and my department. So, kitorang ni print le semua pages tu and i waited at the printer in case ada masalah masa printing ke ape kan...masa tunggu kat printer ni, datang lah sorang akak ni, akak tu dari level tu jugalah. Dengan muka serius, dia tanya, "Banyak lagi ke print?" I've informed her it's about 700 pages lagi...muka dia cuak semacam, dan dia mention lah yg paper yg dia print tu urgent, ada somebody waiting for those paper nak naik fligh ke Kertih kol 5. Aku plak jadi segan....dah le menumpang print kat level tu...pastu, akak tu ulang alik dari tempat dia ke printer, nak tgk whether aku dah habis print ke belum. She were joined by a few others, makin ramai yg dok perati aku, sbb aku still ada kat printer tu lagi. Last2, sebab dah rasa cuak semacam, i've informed my collegue to cancel the printing job tu. Pastu, baru lah paper akak tu keluar, rupanya sehelai je yg dia print...alahai....terfikir plak, kenapa akak tu tak print kat tpt lain jer, kalau betul2 urgent...hmmm...tak pe lah, aku yg masuk tpt orang nih kena lah bertolak ansur dgn dia.
Kesudahannya, aku tak jadi print yg the rest of the paper. Sambung next week, sebab esok n lusa cuti......yahooo....

Hanim and the Traders Hotel
Last week, my friend Hanim from Bintulu was in Kuala Lumpur for about 4 days. I've accompanied her at Traders Hotel, where she stayed, for 2 nights, leaving my husband at home with my adik ipar....sorry ye abang..sekali-sekala berpisah, :) Bukannya apa, it's have been a few months that we haven't seen each other, so, time to catch up with any latest gossip...hehehee.. furthermore, it's my first time staying at Traders Hotel since it is one of the newest hotel in town.
Speaking about Traders Hotel, quite ok lah for my taste...barang2 dlm bilik still new...the interior is contemporary and minimal. Yang best nye is the breakfast time...percumalah katakan...me and hanim tried every food that were in the buffet...except for the sushi...masing2 mmg tak makan sushi..tapi mcm teringin nak cuba...at last, tak cuba juga, :) The funny part is masa we all 'sapu' botol jem...the bottle was so cute and inviting, cannot resist...selalunya, kalu pergi hotel mana2, they just provide butter n jem dalam plastik can yang kecik tu, tapi kat Traders Hotel, there are 4 type of jem (strawberry, orange, honey & satu lagi tu tak leh recall plak), they pack in small bottle mcm baby food nye bottle...i took 5 bottle and hanim a few bottle. Just for souveneir.
This is me and hanim at the Traders Hotel lobby area.

My name is Junaidah
Hi!
My name is Junaidah. My family and close friends call me Eda. At office, they simply call me Jun. My roomate at UTP for 1 year, kak Osheen used to call me Jun Eda. :) It's really cute when she call my name like that. Another friend of mine, Dalina, like to call me Edot....whenver she phoned me, i just can simply recognize her from her first line (and also her voice) " Edot...", very cute.
And the most lovable nick name i have is "Humaira".....emm...my dearie husband love to call me by that name since we get married. Jangan jeles ye....:)
This is just for ice breaking.....
p/s: feel free to call me with whichever names you preferred...but the best name is always the full name as it comes with a meaning...name is a 'doa' guys..;)
